Anno 117 - Layouts

This page provides an overview of my custom layouts for Anno 117: Pax Romana.

Basic Housing

This is a basic Tier 1 housing layout in Latium. 

It features full Public Service coverage via Dirt Road.

Basic Production

This is a Tier 1 housing layout in Latium. 

It features full Public Service and Incident Resolver coverage via Dirt Road, as well as double production buildings for Tunics and Pilei.

Advanced Housing

This is an advanced Tier 1 housing layout in Latium, that becomes relevant if you researched Paved Roads and can produce Concrete. 

It features full Public Service coverage via Paved Road.

Advanced Production

This is an advanced Tier 1 housing layout in Latium, that becomes relevant if you researched Paved Roads and can produce Concrete. 

It features full Public Service and Incident Resolver coverage via Paved Road, as well as double production buildings for Tunics and Pilei.

Full Production

This is an advanced Tier 1 housing layout in Latium, that becomes relevant if you researched Paved Roads and can produce Concrete. 

It features good Public Service and Incident Resolver coverage via Paved Road (single houses in the edges have no coverage). Triple production buildings for Tunics and Pilei make this layout self-sufficient. One could also integrate Porridge Stands by replacing some houses.

Basic Housing

This is a Tier II housing layout in Latium. While you can use it with Dirt Road, you will miss a lot of coverage in the corners for all Public Services and some Incident Resolvers. 

When used with Paved Roads you get good Public Service coverage (single houses in the edges have no Grammaticus coverage).

Basic Production

This is a Tier II housing layout in Latium. While you can use it with Dirt Road, you will miss a lot of coverage in the corners for all Public Services and some Incident Resolvers. 

When used with Paved Roads you get good Public Service coverage (single houses in the edges have no Grammaticus coverage).

The layout features double production buildings for Tunics and Pilei as well as one production building for every Tier II need (Bakery, Garum Works, Sandal Maker, Soap Maker, Potter, Olive Press) which are located at both ends of the middle column.

"The Cross"

This is an advanced Tier II housing layout in Latium. While you can use it with Dirt Road, you will miss a lot of coverage in the corners for all Public Services and especially Incident Resolvers. 

When used with Paved Roads you get good Public Service coverage (single houses in the edges have no Grammaticus coverage).

The layout features all necessary land based production buildings to fully supply the housing inside.

  • 3 Porridge Stand, Spinner and Pilei Felter
  • 2 Bakery, Garum Works, Sandal Maker, Soap Maker, Potter and Olive Press

"The Cartwheel"

This is an advanced Tier II housing layout in Latium using the 45° Grid. While you can use it with Dirt Road, you will miss a lot of coverage in outer circles for all Public Services and especially Incident Resolvers. 

When used with Paved Roads you get full Public Service coverage.

The Anno Designer Layout has been hand-drawn for the 45° grid, so there may be some inconsistencies.

For now there is no production in this layout, but you could easily integrate it.

Timber x4

A basic layout for Timber production.

Requires ‘Woodland Rebirth’ Discovery.

It features 4 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods. Roads can exit on all four connection points.

Timber x4 v2

A basic layout for Timber production.

Requires ‘Woodland Rebirth’ Discovery.

It features 4 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods. Roads can exit on any tile on the top or bottom street around the warehouse.

Timber x8

An advanced layout for Timber production.

Requires ‘Woodland Rebirth’ Discovery.

It features 8 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods. Roads can exit on all four connection points at the terminal sawmills.

Timber x12

The ultimate layout for Timber production.

Requires ‘Woodland Rebirth’ Discovery.

It features 12 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods. Roads can exit anywhere next to the terminal lumberjacks.

Tiles x4

A basic layout for Tiles production.

Input goods must be produced in river slot buildings and are therefore missing in this layout.

It features two production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Vigiles to compensate for the negative fire safety debuff from the Tilers.

 

Concrete x9

A basic layout for Concrete production.

Input goods must be produced in coastal buildings (Silica) and mine buildings (Limestone) and are therefore missing in this layout.

 

Marble x6

A basic layout for Marble production.

Input goods must be produced in mine buildings (Uncut Marble) and are therefore missing in this layout.

It features two production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Mediucs to compensate for the negative health debuff from the Marble Masons.

Mosaics x4

A basic layout for Mosaic production.

Input goods must be produced in mine buildings (Pigments) and river slot buildings (Clay) and are therefore missing in this layout.

It features one production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Mediucs and a Vigiles to compensate for the negative health and fire safety debuffs from the Mineral Crushers and the Tessera Works.

Coal x12

The ultimate layout for Charcoal production.

Requires ‘Replanting’ Discovery.

It features 12 Charcoal Burners, a warehouse to store all the products and two Vigiles and Medici to compensate for the negative fire safety and health debuff from the Charcoal Burners.

Streets can be connected from the connection points on all terminal Charcoal Burners.

Sardines (or other harbour productions)

A basic layout for nearly every coastal building once you unlocked the Discovery to place the buildings in the harbour area.

Put the productions back to back with a road in between and stack them until you reach the border of your harbour area.

Porridge x1

A small rectengular Porridge production chain.

Can be easily stacked, but needs a warehouse close by.

Porridge x4

An advanced layout for Porridge production.

It features 4 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

Porridge x4 v2

An advanced and more compact layout for Porridge production.

It features 4 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods.


Porridge x8

This is the ultimate Porridge Production Layout.

Featuring 8 full production chains and a warehouse to store the goods.

Tunics x1

A basic rectengular Tunic production chain.

Can be easily stacked, but needs a warehouse close by.

Tunics x4

An advanced Tunic production layout.

It features 4 full production chains and a warehouse to store the goods. 

Pilei x4

A basic rectengular double Pilei production chain with 4 Felters.

Can be easily stacked, but needs a warehouse close by.

Pilei x8

An advanced Pilei production layout.

It features 4 full production chains and a warehouse to store the goods. 

 

Pilei x28

The ultimate Pilei production layout.

It features 28 Felters and double warehouses to keep up with all the products being delivered.

Bread x2

A basic layout for Bread production.

It features 1 production chain as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

Intermediate goods must be produced on a river slot (Flour). Therefore the Mill is missing in this layout. 

Bread x4

An advanced layout for Bread production.

It features 2 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Vigiles to compensate for the negative fire safety debuff from the Bakeries.

Intermediate goods must be produced on a river slot (Flour). Therefore the Mill is missing in this layout. 

Garum x3

A basic layout for one Garum production chain.

Input goods must be produced in coastal buildings. See Sardine layout on tier 1 for an example how to build them efficiently.

Also keep a Custodia close by, as the Garum manufactories attrack riots.

 

Garum x3 v2

An advanced layout for one Garum production chain. Needs a suitable location at an island’s coast.

This layout is situated at the coast and already includes the necessary coastal buildings for Salt and Mackerel production. 

It also features a warehouse to store the goods and a Custodia to compensate for the negative happiness debuff from the Garum Workshops.

 

Leather/Lard x8

A basic layout for Leather or Lard production.

There are four pig farms in this layout, supporting up to 8 tanneries or renderers. You can also mix and match, as shown in the screenshot. You can easily replace any tannery or renderer with the other to get a clean 8x Leather or Lard layout.

Sandals x12

The ultimate Sandal production layout.

It features 6 chains and a warehouse to store all the products.

Soap x2

An advanced layout for Soap production.

It features 2 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Custodia to compensate for the negative happiness debuff from the Renderers.

Soap x4

The ultimate Soap production layout.

It features 4 full chains, a warehouse to store all the products and a Custodia to compensate for the negative happiness debuff from the Renderers.

Amphorae x6

A basic layout for Amphorae production.

It features 6 Potteries as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Vigiles to compensate for the negative fire safety debuff from the Potteries.

Input goods must be produced on a river slot (Clay) or need forest area (Resin) and must be build externally.

Olive Oil x3 v1

An advanced layout for Olive Oil production.

It features a full production chain as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

Olive Oil x3 v2

An advanced and more compact layout for Olive Oil production.

It features a full production chain as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

Wine x2

An advanced layout for Wine production.

It features 2 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

Apiaries usually need meadows in their radius to work properly. However with a Discovery you can unlock forest as an alternative input.

Honey/Lavender x4

An advanced layout for simultaneous production of both Honey Combs as well as Lavender.

It features 4 productions of each as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

The special thing about this layout is that Apiaries can utilize Lavender fields inside their radius without loosing productivity instead of the usual requirement of a meadow.

Honey/Flax x4

An advanced layout for simultaneous production of Honey Combs as well as Flax.

It features 4 productions of each as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

The special thing about this layout is that Apiaries can utilize Flax fields inside their radius without loosing productivity instead of the usual requirement of a meadow.

Togae x2

An advanced layout for Togae production.

It features 2 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Custodia to compensate for the negative happiness debuff from the Dye Works.

 

Writing Tablets x4

An advanced layout for Writing Tablet production.

It features 2 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

The Apiaries in the lower part do not have enough fields available by default. This is no problem though, as you only need 150% total productivity to supply the two chains.

Fine Glass x4

An advanced layout for Fine Glass production.

It features 2 full production chains as well as a warehouse to store the goods, a Vigiles to compensate for the negative fire safety debuff from the Glass Blowers and a Medicus to compensate for the negative health debuff from the Mineral Crushers.

Pigments must be built on a mountain slot while the Sand Refinery is a coastal building and the Glass Smelter must be built on a river slot. Those are therefore missing in this layout.

Oysters with Caviar x4

A basic layout for Oysters with Caviar production.

It features 4 Epicures of Water and 3 Fish Gutters as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

Oyster Beds must be built on the coast and Sturgeon Hatcheries on a river slot. Those are therefore missing in this layout.

Necklaces x3

An basic layout for Necklace production.

Input goods must be produced in a mine slot building (Minerals) or on a river slot (Gold Ore). Those are therefore missing in this layout.

The layout features a vigiles as well to compensate for the negative fire safety debuff from the Jewellers.

 

Loungers x4

An advanced layout for Loungers production.

It features a full production chain as well as a warehouse to store the goods.

The layout has been updated for v1.3 with 3 Flax Farms instead of a Sheep Farm.

The layout also features both, a Vigiles and a Custodia, to compensate for the negative fire safety and happiness debuffs from the production buildings.

Murex Snails must be produced on the coast and are therefore missing in this layout.

Lyres x2

An advanced layout for Lyre production.

It features a full production chain as well as a warehouse to store the goods and a Vigiles to compensate for the negative fire safety debuff from the Goldsmiths.

Gold Ore must be produced on a river slot and is therefore missing in this layout.

A max layout for Wheat production with Items.

It features 65 Wheat Farms all inside the Radius of an Officium. You can bring in an aqueduct on all sides of the layout.

You need to build warehouses and other supportive infrastructure outside of the layout.

Bakery x84

A max layout for Bread production with Items.

It features 84 Bakeries all inside the Radius of an Officium.

You need to build warehouses and other supportive infrastructure outside of the layout. Especially Vigiles are recommended, as the Bakeries love infernos.

Garum Workshop x68

A max layout for Garum production with Items.

It features 68 Garum Workshops all inside the Radius of an Officium.

You need to build warehouses and other supportive infrastructure outside of the layout. Especially Custodia are recommended, as the Garum Workshops love rioting.

Sandalmaker x130

A max layout for Sandal production with Items.

It features 130 Sandal Makers all inside the Radius of an Officium.

You need to build warehouses and other supportive infrastructure outside of the layout.

"Swamp City"

This is a Tier 1 housing layout in Albion. You need to research Drainage first in order to build this layout in the swamp area – hence the layout name. Drainage channels are connected in the North and an access street is connected in the South.

It features good Public Service and Incident Resolver coverage via Dirt Road (single houses in the outer circle have no coverage), as well as double production buildings for Tunics and Reed Shoes.

The Anno Designer Layout has been hand-drawn for the 45° grid, so there may be some inconsistencies.

Mercators - Early Production

This is a basic roman Tier II housing layout in Albion for use in early stages of the game (no Fanum unlocked).

It features full Public Service (Market, Bardic Hall, Grammaticus) and Incident Resolver coverage via Dirt Road, as well as double production buildings for Tunics and Reed Shoes.

Mercators - "The Dog Bone"

This is an advanced roman Tier II housing layout in Albion. While you can use it with Dirt Road, you will miss a lot of coverage in the corners for all Public Services and especially Incident Resolvers. When used without Fanum, it can be replaced by a third Grammaticus.

It features full Public Service and Incident Resolver coverage via Paved Road.

The layout features all necessary land based production buildings to fully supply the housing inside:

  • 4 Spinner and Shoe Weaver
  • 2 Bakery, Salsicium, Fibularium and Potter

Smiths - Full Production

This is an advanced celtic Tier II housing layout in Albion.

It features full Public Service and Incident Resolver coverage via Dirt Road.

The layout features all necessary land based production buildings to fully supply the housing inside.

  • 2 Spinner and Shoe Weaver
  • 2 Dairy, Brewery
  • 3 Hosier, Wire-Twister, Shieldbeater
  • 4 Horner
